Are you going to the grave with unlived lives still in your veins?

Haven't had service in a couple of days, now have lots to say, but tired after 22 mountainous miles and I'm going to sleep! Alive and well here on the trail.

  1. Fox Tales: I know what lack of sleep can do! We worked so many hours a day seven days a week when in Vietnam that I fell asleep while "resting" on the John; almost falling off onto the floor and cracking my head! Hang in there buddy, for every uphill slope there is a downhill side---- not that they are much easier sometime. I pray for you frequently. The Fox

  3. Hey Stiltz, if you plan to stop in Atkins, VA (and you should!) definitely stay at Rambunny & Aqua's Happy Hiker Hollow Hostel. It's a great deal for the $$ and they will treat you right. You get AYCE fantastic homecooked dinner & breakfast, shower, laundry, shuttle to town for resupply, free long distance, fuel, a real bed, and ride back to the trail. You'll need to make a reservation (call from Partnership Shelter). They'll pick you up where the trail hits Atkins.
